Another watercolor on Canvas

It's still not my favorite surface to paint on but here's another little painting on watercolor canvas. It's 6"x6" Gallery Wrap.

This is beautiful! What type of canvas did you use? Was it watercolor or just normal cotton. I can't seem to find watercolor canvases anywhere.

Thanks so much for your praise! months ago, I purchased 6 in a special promotional package at Jerry's Art a rama location in Austin, Texas.
I threw away the packaging so I don't know remember what brand it was, but I'd be willing to bet it was Fredrix - They're the only ones I've seen that makes canvas for watercolor - it comes in sheets ("tablet") form and is hard to handle if it's not on stretcher bars. It's a tricky surface to work on; wet-into-wet acts wierd, & If you glaze, be careful-under layer will lift easily! It's definitely a challenge but once you get used to it, I think you'll like it. I seal the finished painting with 3 coats (dry between coats)of Krylon Matte Acrylic spray. Good luck - send me photos of your work!
